The group meets the last Wednesday of every month to discuss New Yorker essays and short stories. The PLUS is a pre-meeting, separate discussion of a book ( fiction or non-fiction ) chosen in advance by the group. A member may participate in The New Yorker meeting without joining the book discussion. All essays, short stories, and books are chosen at each meeting by the group. In some cases the group may decided to devote multiple sessions to a book.

Do you like to write? If yes, do you find it difficult to make time to sit down and write? This is a meetup group for people to get together and, well, write. The group (or whoever RSVPs) meets once a week. For 1-2 hours (or however long you can stay) we sit down and write quietly. Once a month we'll get together afterwards to talk about our writing or just socialize.
